Production

What I can offer you:

• Production and/or engineering in all three facets of the music process: Tracking, overdubs, mixing. I am at home on large format consoles like SSLAPI or Neve, but I can also get great results working "in-the-box". Anything you throw my way is fair game, be it a rock band, a choir or an intimate piano/vocal session.
• A strong work ethic and a commitment to audio excellence. This applies to whether you're a multi-platinum selling artist, or whether this is your first foray into releasing a project.
• Flexibility. I can work around your schedule or your locale. I have contacts in the major music centers. I can come to you (have passport, will travel), or we can work in the world-class facilities here in Music City, USA.
• Pro Tools audio editing. Do you really know what you're doing with that multi-tool? Do you really want to tackle all that editing?

Send me an email with your contact info and we can talk about creating something great.

Music production isn't just my career, it's a passion. Music moves me. I'm fond of many different things, and while my passion for life and everything in it is equal, my passion for music is a little more equal than the others. Notice the yellow construction stripes? Does it evoke the image of something under construction? It should. When I'm working on your project, I'm strapping on my audio toolbelt (no, I don't actually wear a toolbelt, but I thought about wearing a labcoat like the British engineers used to do), putting on the hard hat and putting my head down and getting down and dirty. Why? Because everything I've learned from my parents, my family, my friends, my mentors, my teachers all boils down to one thing: Do your best. I use the word pride carefully, but if my name is going to be on your project, I want to be proud of the work I've done. I can't live with "we'll fix it in the mix", or settle for "good enough". And neither should you. Think about that for a minute. You spend countless hours learning your instrument. Even more hours honing your craft. You read through articles, sift through different pieces of gear and/or instruments when you hear something that turns your head, because you understand: you get what you pay for. That Gibson Les Paul? That B3? That Rickenbacker 4 string? It's going to cost you a pretty penny, but when you make it sing? Can't put a price on that. And you'll have to pay to learn the fretboard. Or the keyboard. Sweat equity. Your friends are out on the town, you're at home working on a song idea. I get it. You get it. It moves you, too. You understand that tools help you achieve things, but without someone behind them that knows how to use them, they may as well not be used at all. Back to the construction parallel. You have to build a solid house with a strong foundation. We're all cogs in a spinning wheel of life. My foundation came from my studies. Dual majoring in Composition/Music Production & Engineering at Berklee College of Music gave me my first steps, something to build on while I studied my guitar as well. Working with world-class producers, engineers, musicians and songwriters after graduating from college set those studies in motion. Fifteen years of working on my craft professionally on numerous projects, some multi-platinum, others award-winning or nominated, now turns me into the catalyst to elevate your music. Are you ready?

Here's a link to Allmusic's review of a project I worked on. 4.5 stars out of 5.
